AGZA founder Dan Mabe and partner Jay Moehring collaborated closely for over two years with The City of South Pasadena's Councilmember Michael Cacciotti, and were supported by other key members of City Council, the SCAQMD (South Coast Air Quality Management District), and national ground maintenance service TruGreen Land Care to bring this project to life. As of February 26th, 2015, Garfield Park is officially certified as the nation's first ever zero-emission municipal AGZA Green Zone! A ribbon-cutting ceremony with leaders from the City of South Pasadena and the AQMD will be at Garfield Park on February 26th. A second ribbon-cutting ceremony will be for the newly AGZA-certified Torrance American Baseball (TABB) Fields about a week later. Exact date and time TBD.
